In a working band again!
Reader's Digest version: A guy I jammed with over 25 years ago and I are back together with a couple others and we're starting to get bookings finally. He and I have been going to the open mic and blues jam sessions a lot over the last few months and it started paying off immediately.
We're getting noticed (in a positive way) BIG time on the local scene and have worked our way into several local bars and are starting to host our own open mics now. It's just a matter of time (weeks?) before we end up on a weekly rotation at one, possibly two of the bars which means extra $$$. THIS is what I've been waiting for for many years!

Excellent. I played the bars 1975 to 2007. That was enough! Still play weekly here at the house & do two outdoor gigs a year- my college's Alumni Weekend & a biker pig roast Labor Day Weekend. Still playing with one of the guys from 1975.
