Having a reoccuring discussion with a co-worker who is a Zep-head. He thinks Jimmy Page is THE guitar player. I sat he's not even close. I credit Zep for being innovative/influential to other bands. I don't think Jimmy Page brought anything NEW to the guitar just louder. I ain't saying he's not tremendous but IMHO not in the top
25 (or 50) in my list of guitar players.
I think Eddie Van Halen was a more influential guitar player. I don't think of JP as one of the best or most influential guitar players. What do you think.
