The cutter. It was the second thing I disliked about the Xikar. The first being that it never produced a clean cut and always left a "stair step". The second being that it had a habit of cracking wrappers, because while it was a 2 bladed cutter, mine pretty much smashed the cigar against the side wall and then 1 blade would cut it instead of both blades meeting in the middle most of the time. I'd pretty much put it down to the cutter. The ones I use now, Palio, SAK, and Havana all slice cleanly and that includes fragile cameroon wrappers that are cold.
