Coolerdors offer much greater capacity and-- once full-- greater stability than a desktop. I have two coolers and five desktops, so I'm not exactly inexperienced. Of my desktops, two seal pretty well, whereas the other three are just OK. I'm adding water at least every three weeks. My coolers: both seal extremely well. Even when I forget to add water, or when I take the humistat out, they hold 65% day in, day out. I admit I never met a desktop I didn't like, at least when browsing on eBay. But you can't go wrong with a cooler. Just make sure the plastic smell is gone from the inside before you throw any cigars in, and you would be well-advised to keep all your coolerdor cigars in boxes.
