Tupperware will work fine for excess capacity. I have three humidors and still on occasion will end up with more than they will hold. I have what I like to call my overflow tupperdor for those times. I have kept a number of the spanish cedar spacers and liners from cigar boxes that I use in the tupperdor for seasoning and to help stabilize the rh.

Yes, Tupperware, Rubbermaid, or any similar type of container will work.

And if you don't have any containers available, a gallon-size zip lock bag with a water pillow will work also.

Why not start up a Cooler/Igloodor?

It's cheap and easy to start up and then mothball it when You don't need it. Simple, flexible and no hassles on any fronts.

Pluuuuuus, You now have Tons of extra room.

Since most cigars are shipped wet I'd lay off the water pillow. Zip bag in a plastic container will hold them for a while
