Do the Canucks stand a chance to go all the way?

After watching Vancouver play a couple of times this season I'm thinking they may have what it takes to at least make it deep into the playoffs, if not go all the way. They have great goaltending in Cloutier, and the big line of Naslund/Bertuzzi/Morrison can dominate quite effectively. The problem as I see it is how much depth do they have in the rest of the lineup? Is one big line enough to do the job, or will they need to do some major shaking up on the other lines at the trade deadline to be successful?

Sorry, but no, Cloutier is not playoff tested, always a prob for goalies, and they are not great defensively yet. Just my opinion.

Cloutier doesn't have the nerves yet. They could end up as the second seed in first round. I don't see them getting out of the second round though-unless they play Detroit.

the Canucks are for real!!!!! That is one scary team, in both skill and nastiness! I'd rate them higher than Dallas and St. Louis...... and as of now, much better than my team......

I tend to agree with you guys about Cloutier. He's the achilles heal of the team. When he's hot he's amazing, but he's just not consistent enough. They also lack enough confidence in their depth. They've got some stellar guys on their second and third lines who just don't seem to come to play every time.

I've finally had a chance to see a few games of there's since getting NHL Center ice. The guy who blows my mind is Todd Bertuzzi! He reminds me a lot of Gordie Howe - strong as a bull and smart play sense. Several times now I've seen him hold off a defender with one arm while handling the puck with the other and actually getting a solid pass off one handed. That's a classic Gordie Howe move as I recall.

Anyway, I think the canucks can make it to the Conference finals if not the cup finals, but I doubt they've got what it takes to go all the way. It will be an interesting trade deadline for them...
