This site is an extremely good source of information... and on more than just aging. A very nice selection of a.s.p. posts. Covers lots of different opinions.
As for me, I've put up plenty of 5100 and 2015 (both of which show a large improvement even after 6 months to a year), plus a large assortment of tins... A few good values in tins for aging are Escudo, Rattray VA's, and McClelland VA's from JR's... Just make sure to buy enough to get $.50/item shipping on the bulk of your order... and probably even the new Dunhill Elizabethan - since it's a VA/perique, Orlik probably couldn't have screwed it up too much - most of the complaints about the new line seem to relate to reductions in the latakia content of the English mixtures. |
