If you've never had a croque madame, you're missing a good one. Ham, gruyere cheese grilled (your choice of bread) and served with a fried egg on top. Lose the egg and it's a croque monsieur.

And don't forget the humble goodness of a good Cubano sammitch.

Love me a grilled cheese sammie. As brand spanking new newlyweds the first meal my Bride prepared for me was a grilled PB&J. A sammie her Dad perfected while in college. Grilled cheese is better though.

Never thought of grilling a PBJ. I put so much PB on mine, it would likely end up a sticky hot mess.

It's not bad it's prepared the same way as a grilled cheese. I use raspberry jelly on my PB&J damn delicious.

Yeah I never thought of grilling a PBJ either. It is a throw together sammie for me. That one and PBB (Banana) are quickies to take the edge off and go back to work.

So far as Ham and Cheese goes, I use what I have available but generally the ingredients in inventory are higher end. We like the real stuff.

Best,
J.

utmost favorite is pumpernickle and aged swiss. I guess. I haven't used a processed cheese in anything for years.

Maybe I should try a velveeta on white to see if it's still kinda gross. We only use real cheddar when we make them.
