Hmm...you guys are beginning to take this rather seriously. The Fuente Sun Grown fans are apparently a quite rabid lot , and not to be trifled with. Let me remove my tongue from in cheek and reply a tad more intellectually.

I certainly didn't mean to "overly-generalize." Obviously a name brand means something, particularly as regards to consistency in blending and construction, which forms a baseline for your expectations.

I too can recognize familiar cigars without bands via appearance and taste. See the Blind Review #2 in this series, as I spotted an "undressed" ErDM Rectangulare right from the get go!
