Christmas dinner and stuff you do
Predictably prime rib was numerous at Pubix and not so much other stuff that I would consider. It has been dry aging for a few days now to intensify the flavor. So that obviously will be the main. My Mom wants to make 5 cup salad that used to be a standard and it sure beats Waldorf which was another choice.
Not certain about which veg we're gonna do, we got the best they had when we shopped and are not likely to shop again. There will be potatoes and rolls. Did a lemon pie that needs replacement today as does the mincemeat. The chocolate pecan is lagging a bit due to the age of the eaters and chocolate issues so a more traditional pecan is on the way as well. It is really a week of cooking and eating for us, not just a day. They welcome the chief cook and bottle washer during the season. J.
