And since I never remember to write down suggestions from Linn its a real crapshoot.

Ancient Ancient Age and Woodford Reserve are still my hands down favorites.

Picked up something from Heaven Hill. 7.99 for a fifth, light brown label that just says "Best of Heaven Hill". Straight goat piss at least to my untrained palate. Tastes very watered down at 80 proof, sweet and medicinal with just a hint of charcoal. Disappointing.

Next up Very Old Barton. A very smooth, slightly sweet tasting bourbon with little bite. Still tastes weak, though I did like it better than the Heaven Hill.

It's possible that I just don't go for the 80 proof stuff.

Both of these were sampled neat, with no cigar accompaniment.

Thanks for listening to my rant. Any advice on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated.
