Prop 29 fails.......just barely.

Well, a small sigh of relief, here in CA.

The ill fated and greatly flawed prop 29 has failed by a very small margin. I'm not sure, They did not plan it that way. The reason I say that is because. The new and improved version planned for next year will be only slightly revised to remove the biggest hurdles and when that is done, it will pass. Of that I have no doubt.

Less than 2% margin, even With all of those Massive flaws.

So, good today, but the smoking nazzis don't give up.

We must be ever vigilant.

Cheers!

Yes, they will be back. Why, because they will get a lot of money if it passes.

We have the same thing in Missouri coming up in November. The antis will take in about 60 million a year for "smoking cessation". Of course that means that money will be used to push for more local bans and a statewide ban.

And by next year more of the smart people will have moved out of the state so it will have a better chance of passing.

I know of at least one that is hoping for that.

But for Today, it's a big ol Bite of the Shitte Samich for them trouble making Jack Holes.

Another Big Deal was that the Voting Public also FINALLY Approved Term Limits for the crusty old professional political Hoes, in Sacramento. Thank Heavens for that.

Cheers!

The problem is, they run for different offices, and usually win because of name recognition. We have it here, and the legislators, themselves, hate it. Bitch about it all the time.

It is still a step in the right direction. They fought it tooth and nail, too.

There are compromises everywhere, but You gotta keep the pressure on these types or the nepotism/career polititions/corruption/wastes just continue.

So, a small victory and a hope that the absentee's and exception ballots don't alter the results.

Also, Big Thanks go to You Sir Tommy, for keeping a vigilant eye and ear here and one the other sites.

Cheers!
