This weekend is hitting 1.000 on coaching changes in both college and NFL. Huge announcements

Nick Saban Retires Who saw this coming?? This guy is so competitive and driven, I fear for his life much like his predecessor (no pun intended) Paul "Bear" Bryant who expired just months after retiring. The greatest. Simply put.

Tennessee Titans Fire Mike Vravel Not that I watch the NFL, really, but this guy is a good coach. Adams family are terrible people.

Pete Carroll Out in Seattle He is getting up in age, as well. He was there for 14 years.

Bill Belichik may be parting ways with the Patriots too as many assert that he can't win without Tom Brady. Even IF he leaves or is fired, I can't see him going out in the ignominy of the last two seasons.

I really don't watch the NFL any longer. I no longer play fantasy football, the NFL classifies itself as an "entertainment business." As such, I believe there is some sort of intention to the operations of the league. Of course it's to make money, but in order to do that, I am under no illusions that the play on the field is totally honest and forthright. There is favoritism, there are story lines that must happen, this leads to officials' bias and "incompetence."

I see college football slowly devolving, as well, with NIL money and this consequence-free transfer portal. It hasn't hit high school foorball YET, but that's pretty much what I watch, anymore. My sons are still young, and they are ate up with the Saints. I coulnd't care much less and Mrs. Benson is our biggest benefactor, I SHOULD care.

However, even with that said, this week has turned monumental, in my eyes.

Don't forget Arthur Smith. I must say that the whole Falcons org needs a purge though, so I'm actually relieved that they cut him.

I haven't. That whole situation starting with the last play Sunday is entirely a trainwreck.

Saban retirement was an initial shock, but it makes sense given the coming changes to CFB. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the Falcons made Belichik an offer.
