Have to share this!
I just finished THIS HUMIDOR. I think it's a keeper! I'm a sucker for the dated presentation humidors. I'll have to rotate out one of my others. As near as I can figure, Earl Wilson was a columnist for The New York Times for many years in the middle of the 20th century. He commented on celebrities and pop culture of the time. Much like Walter Winchell and Ed Sullivan. He hung out with famous folks at Toots Shors bar and was a notorious skirt chaser. He also authored some popular anecdotal type books. The time frame is right. And The Cigar Institute was based in NYC on 5th avenue. this Earl Wilson seems like the right guy to receive such an award.
I tried a new humidifier mounting scheme. I inset magnets in the lid cedar and the humidifier to get a flush lowest profile possible mount. Works great! |
