Arganese Chairman Maduro
I first heard about Arganese cigars at last year's RTDA in Houston. They sure don't get a lot of press around here, so I was curious when I saw them at my local B&M a couple of weeks ago. I picked the Chairman Maduro, an appealing large figurado. After a rest in the humidor, I decided to give it a whirl while I was out mowing today.
I have finally found a Dominican that I like. The following description comes from the Arganese web site: Quote:
The draw started out a little tight until it burned past the "nipple," then opened up to produce clouds of smoke with each draw. Despite a stiff breeze, it burned straight throughout and required no touch-ups...really impressive for a big figurado like this one. Medium body with a slightly toasty impression to the solid tobacco core, underlain by those chocolate/coffee notes, all of which shifted around and took turns at the front of the flavor profile as the smoke progressed. In all, this cigar surprised me quite a bit. Clearly, I'm going to have to do quite a bit more exploration of the Arganese line. Recommended!
