How do you deal with a plugged cigar?
Every once in awhile I'll get a cigar where I feel like I'm trying to suck the brass off a door hinge. Needless to say, this destroys the enjoyment of smoking a stick you've been longing for all day after a shitty day at work.
I've heard some say to massage it up and down by rolling it between your fingers and some say stick a toothpick (or something similar) down the middle. The first one makes me nervous because I feel like I'm going to break the binder and/or crack the wrapper, creating a "broken straw" effect. The second one makes me feel like I'm missing out on the full flavor profile of the cigar by creating hole down the center as smoke will take the path of least resistance. |
