Peter Principle

After crapping the bed last year with the hiring of Ed Orgeron, LSU Athletic Director Joe (Duke Lacrosse) Alleva, and the athletic department have hired longtime Tiger and TE coach Steve Ensminger to be the new offensive coordinator.

Ensminger who played QB at LSU IS a respected coach, and recruiter. He was fired thrice as an OC, with the last position being 20 years ago. He replaces the departed Matt Canada who didn't get along with O and bristled at O's interference in the offense, especially in the season's nadir, the loss to Troy IN Tiger Stadium.

When hired, O. promised the Tiger Faithful "the best coordinators in the country." Just like the hiring process that promoted Orgeron, the first two names mentioned for the position: Kendall Briles and Sterlin Gilbert, were no go. Gilbert was never interviewed, and political powers told O not to even mention Briles.

So LSU settles, just like they did for O, after it was clear Tom Herman wasn't coming last year no matter the price, and they didn't make a real run at Jimbo Fischer.

Fuck me.

AlaBammer, the SEC West is yours as long as you want it. LSU won't bother you, no more, and are taking active steps to ensure it.
