Tampa Bay/Packers

Why did the Greenbay coach not go for a TD went for a field goal instead? At the point in the game in the fourth quarter. Somebody explain that to me.

They did seem to be determined to lose that game.

Maybe they were?

Bucs vs. Chiefs
GOAT vs. the Next One Up
Lots of LSU: Devin White and Leonard Fournette for Tampa Bay
Tyrann Mathieu, Darrell Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire for the Chiefs.

Leonard Fournette and Tyrann Mathieu are alumni of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans whilst Darrell Williams is from this side of the river.

Clyde is from Catholic High School (Brothers of the Sacred Heart) in Baton Rouge.

Devin White will be the next great NFL linebacker, as he is as quick from sideline to sideline as anyone; he was a RB in high school.
I was invited home so I'll go and watch even though I have tried to avoid the NFL this year.

Some amazing players on both sides of the ball. Should b be fun tonight. A real challenge for a change. Came as a bit of an accident yesterday, but hosting my first SB party in a a couple of decades. We used to throw a good one back in the day. I haven't thrown a party since Katrina. Maybe I have one left in me.

The commentary team while talking about T.B. mentioned that his first Super Bowl, was the 2002 game, or was that his first win? Anyway, it's the first one we watched at your house.

The game was no fun (unless you're a Tampa Bay fan) the politically correct commercials were bland, lame and boring. Springsteen preaching unity...wtf was all this love before 20 January. There was no chatter at work today about the game, none.

Didn't even make it through the first half. The Chiefs were flat and played their worst game of the year. Part of it was the makeshift offensive line after all the injuries vs the Bucs outstanding defensive line. IMO another huge factor was the accident Thursday night involving Britt Reid, OLB coach and Andy's son, that put a five year old girl in a coma in intensive care. He was quite likely driving impaired, and had a history of that. Think Andy, and the rest of the team and coaching staff, might have been distracted?

Didn't see a second of the halftime show. Any commercial that aired when I had the game on left no impression. All the NFL's PC crap is off putting.

No surprise here, the Super Bowl posted some very ugly broadcast numbers.
From The Athletic:
Quote:
After an unusual day-long delay in releasing the numbers, CBS Sports on Tuesday morning announced that Tampa Bay’s win over Kansas City in Super Bowl LV generated 96.4 million total viewers across both live TV and streaming services, citing the Nielsen Co. data.
The broadcast TV audience was 91.62 million with a 38.2 rating. The last Super Bowl with a smaller audience on broadcast television was 90.7 million on ABC for Pittsburgh’s 21-10 victory over Seattle in Super Bowl XL on Feb. 5, 2006, in Detroit.
And the last Super Bowl with a lower rating? Joe Namath and the New York Jets’ upset of the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III on NBC in 1969 (36 rating).
I wonder if the NFL will learn anything from this?

The Wayne's World commercial was cute but was the only one. Everyone is afraid of stepping on someone's dick.
