Verona gives me a woody.

The humidor part itself is just what you see in the picture. The humidor (storage area) goes up to basically where you see the glass end. The body them continues into that peak at the top. Now, instead of constructing a solid box for the storage area, they cut slits in the top piece just like you would a shelf. These slits allow humidity to travel up out of the storage area and into that peak. The slits are there so that humidity can pass outside of the storage area and into this peak where the RH can be read by the hygrometer that is mounted in there. This means you are humidifying a rather large area that you can't store anything in just so an analog hygrometer which you can't calibrate can read the humidity.
