Active Humidification

Looking at getting an active humidification system for my cabinet. The cabinet is about 6 cubic feet in size.

What is better - hydra, oasis, humi-care........ Pro's or con's to any?

Thanks for your help gents!

I have an Oasis XL Plus. It's rated for a max of 10 cu ft. It has a standard cord for use in a cabinet with an internal AC socket. It also comes with a ribbon cord in case your cabinet doesn't have an internal socket. The cartridge is refillable.

It works well. I can't speak to any of the other systems.

IMO 6 cubic feet doesn't need active humidification. Too many things can go wrong. Better to use beads and (maybe) use a small fan to move the air around.

Took your advice.....went with more beads.

Figured out that I didn't have enough beads in my humidor and I was running a little on the dry side. Picked up a pound from Heartfelt and and oust fan from ebay - poo' man's version of an Oasis.

I like active humidifaction, and use 2 Oasis II in my 6 foot tall humis (one in each). I like the fan blowing 24/7 to circulate air, and it holds the humidity nicely, quite nicely.

I'm not that familiar with the beads, but I have used sponges/credos with 50:50 and was happy with the results in coolers (up to 100 quarts did just fine).
