I genereally don't like Brown Ales, they are too sweet and malty for me. Newcastle and Downtown Brown...just not for me.
The Tumbler was brought to my house, and I tried it. For a brown ale, I liked it. Much hoppy-er than I expected. (Although I think the label describes it this way.) In any case, I enjoyed it. Not a typical brown ale, so it may not be enjoyed for that reason. There are other beers I would rather drink. But made to drink a style I don't enjoy...I liked this. That said, probably not a good example of a 'brown ale.'
