La Luna African Fuerte Bantu
A nice warm spring day, so I decided on taking the opportunity to have a smoke outside. The cigar that I chose from my humidor was La Luna African Fuerte Bantu, my first LLAF. And continuing on the tradition of my reviews, it was gifted to me by a fellow CW'er.
It was a nice looking robusto with a toothy wrapper. No troubles clipping or lighting, and the draw was good. It started with quite a spicy bite, which mellowed out after an inch. In the middle third the flavors were somewhat subdued, but for the last third the spice came back, and a strong woodsy, cedary taste appeared, and stayed good to the last inch. Strenghtwise it was somewhat on the milder side of medium, with the flavors on the stronger side of medium, except for the middle part. Overall, quite an enjoyable smoke, if nothing really special. For the prices that I've found for these, I'd say pretty good value.
