Wild Hop Lager
From Green Valley Brewing.
Not bad, but I'd call it thin and a bit light on flavor for a lager. I bought it on a whim just to try something new. I don't think I'll pay the 7.50 for it again. The J.W. Dundee American Amber is better for 3 bucks less. But hey, it's not "organic" like the Wild Hop Lager. Actually, I like the Dundee Pale Ale quite a bit. It's a good utility quaff for 4.50 a six pack. I wanna go on record as saying, that I had already formed my opinion on the Wild Hop Lager before I read this. Then I figured out why it was thin and light. But I'll say this, it's the best thing I've tried from AB in a long time. Oh yea, I almost forgot. After I read the article I checked the ingredients. Water, barley, hops and yeast . No rice. No wonder it tastes like beer. |
