I'm new to this MP3 thing
Since my company is trying very hard to block any streaming of audio, I decided to get a portable hard drive and put my entire CD collection on it. I got an MP3 encoder and tried to reduce the file sizes of my collection. When I convert the wav files at 128 they actually take up more room than the wav files! If I convert them at a lower rate, they don't sound nearly as good. Am I doing something wrong? I really am new at this and would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
