SLR Lonsdale
VEL LR00 from dress box
Smoked indoors, with hot green tea Wrapper - Dark calorado reddish wrapper, thin veins, silky smooth to the touch, delicate thin wrapper. Looks so delicious. 5/5 Construction - Nice box pressed, and firm to the touch. It started out with a firm draw but opened up as it was smoked down. Despite the stiff draw, I ws able to enjoy generous amounts of rich smoke with every puff. 4/5 Flavor - You can taste the age of this cigar. The first half started out on the mild side with hints of bitter nutty, buttery, and dusty, with hints of bitter sweet chocolate. But the delicate flavors built up nicely as you smoked this cigar down. The second half was amazing. The dusty, nutty, bitter chocolate got more intense, but now you can add hints of cinnamon, and other delightful sweet spicy flavors in the flavor profile. It is not a strong cigar. It is a cigar that will be fully enjoyed by cigar connoisseur who enjoy the best qualities this cigar has to offer. Complex and delicate flavors is the best attribute this awesome cigar has to offer. 10/10 Final Thoughts - A true connoisseur cigar, pure enjoyment form beginning to end. All cigar lovers should try cigars like this. All will find this cigar to be an unforgettable experience, especially in the second half. A real nubber guaranteed to burn your fingers in the end. Final Score - 19/20

Really nice review, thank you! I had some of these, from 92, that were remarkable. Long gone.

Yes, those 92s were darn good. Had some 01s too, but they paled in comparison to the 92s. Now 01 SLR DCs- those are the bomb!

Mike, thanks for another very nice review.
I've been smoking SLR '98 Cabs and it's one of my favorite cigars
