Rock Movies: Pics and Pans

Pic: The Wall and Quadrophenia

Pan: Tommy and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

I was a big Who fan and couldn't wait to see 'Tommy' when it was released. It was horrible (except for Ann Margret's bean scene). I saw it the other day and it hasn't aged well. But the scene with the biker fight that ended in a peace dance as Tommy flew into the scene on his hang glider while singing "I'm a Sensation" was downright hilarious. Not to mention Jack Nicholson singing. What was Ken Russell thinking?
