Cigar Mechanic
A friend of mine started a humidification company called cigar mechanic. It is a bead product that comes in a zip-lock bag that has holes that let the beads circulate the moisture. I am selling the product to retailers and I do so knowing the product works and is reasonably priced. A $9.95 unit humidifies a 100 to 150 count humidor.
Questions? Comments? Let me know! Cigar Mechanic - ask for it by name, if you have any retailers that you would like to suggest throw me a PM, I know a lot of guys but far from everyone.

Is there a webpage with additional info? Certainly sounds interesting.

Why the decision to go with a Ziploc bag? Something sturdier seems like a better long term option.

The bag has the micro-perforations necessary for good moisture circulation. The user can choose to put the beads in something else - if they do not like the "look" but the bag is effective and makes the price reasonable.

What about humidity level? Are they preset like other beads (60%, 65%, 70%), and are they hygroscopic?

I met Eric at the IPCPR show and he gave me a few bags. So far they are working great. I tried to visit his site, but it did not work. I will have a video interview up soon that JC and I did for our show.
