Storing Glass Tubes

I recieved some gorgeous glass tube cigars and I am wondering what your experience has been with storing these closed or open in your humi.

Thanks

Why would you leave them open?
Defeats the whole purpose of storing them in a glass tube.

Glass tubes will have storage properties similar to aluminum tubos. The debate about 'caps on' vs. 'caps off' for tubos will apply just the same to glass tubes.

tubes

These tubes are to often opened at b&m's, let alone other places along the way from the factory. Once opened, these hermeticaly (sp?) sealed tubes will need there contents (the cigar) to receive proper humidity. Keeping them in the tube, but opened, is a fine way to keep them. Afterwards if traveling, the tube can be closed and very useful protecting the cigar during your travel. In my experience, this way has worked best for me.

you should store them closed after the cigar has acclimated in your humi after a few weeks or months. Actually, it serves no purpose storing them in your humidor open. The whole point is to store your cigars in a sealed environment but not yet airtight so as to slow down aging and preserve the delicate bouquet. Closing the glass tube with supplied stopper does not create an airtight environment and allows humidity and oxygen to pass through slowly. I do this for my loose vintage cigars with positive results.

And yes, they protect the cigars as an aside when traveling.

The only glass tubos I know of that are CCs are Guantanameras... I was wondering who was buying those!

Just kidding, I know you have better tastes than that!
