La Rosa Especial

I've been holding off on getting the box sampler from JR for a while...when they offered it with two 1# bags of Monteristo Coffee I jumped on it. Boy am I glad I did. I've had them for about two weeks now so they're barely OTT. Just lit one up last night...a Mi Favorita 4.75x52 maduro. Wow. Now, I'm no fancy cigar critic, and I can't tell you all the flavors, so I won't try. The construction was solid, with maybe one leaf blemish. The cap was strong and held up fine with me holding the cigar in my mouth for 50% of the time. The burn started a little lopsided at first but I moistened the fast side a tiny bit and it settled down fine. Draw was perfect, not too easy, but easy enough not to get a hemorrage. Flavor was on the strong side of medium and there was lots of smoke (I prefer lots of smoke). Lots of great flavor. If the whole box is this way, this is going to become my favorite cigar, barely edging out my Puros Indios'!

I am a happy man!
