I gotta say...I had one of the Omnis today and I took notes while smoking:
Jet black wrapper...Very nice looking!...Kind of dry looking..no evidence of any oily wrapper which is what I've been told by others that have smoked them already. Draw was absolutely perfect!..Aroma reminded me of a La Perla Habana (maybe a black pearl or the maduro line because of the flavor, maybe (like a friend said) a WOA maddie perhaps)..Complex flavor..I had trouble really identifying the flavor profile...maybe a dark chocolate or cocoa with a touch of sweetness (cherry?, similar to La Perlas)..Earthy flavor...Burn was perfect and only had to be corrected twice...Light grey to off white ash..held nicely...Here's the negative observations I detected: The flavor NEVER developed at all throughout the cigar (which was still enjoyed until it was about one inch in length)...It stayed the same throughout..Don't get me wrong..It's a very good straightforward maduro cigar that I couldn't help thinking I was smoking a La Perla Habana Maduro...I will definitely buy more I do think that with some age (at least 3-6 months) the tobacco will age a bit and develop some changing flavor profiles, but I didn't detect any changes in this one They will sleep in the humidors for awhile Keith Edited by - rookie139 on 09/27/2002 8:39:40 PM Edited by - rookie139 on 09/29/2002 12:59:45 AM
