Anyone up for a herf around KY or Cincinnati, OH? I have never been to a herf, and want to go! I just can't travel very far as a college student! I know its a shot in the dark, but hey, its worth a shot!

There's a group of former CWers (they'll likely talk bad about us if you broached the subject....

) who meet at Party Source in Covington, I believe it is.

Of course, when push comes to shove, have your own herf and invite people.
You might be surprised. Never know until you try. And what's the worst that can happen if they don't? You'll still have a drink and a cigar.

I've hosted very successful herfs, and epic fail herfs.
I don't want to discourage you, because when they're good, they're usually VERY good. Get a bit of interest then just set your date. I've found the more you try to adjust dates and times for some people, the more indecisive you come across, and often flummox people.

Once you get a bit of interest, set your date, and time, stick with it and show up. If no one comes then no one comes, try not to let it affect you or bother you. Lexington, IMO is a great spot, not too far from Cincinnati, not too far from Louisville, not too far from Nashville. We have members in many places within reasonable distance from there.

The only drawback is that people aren't up to traveling for herfs in the last year or so. But it's well worth the effort.
