Live Music Today

Inspired by Jason's ELO post:

What band/bands would you pay to see at a medium to large venue?

If the Damned "reunion" goes as planned, It just come through town.

Will not pay the Ticketbastard fees to see Rammstein.

Live/local is the best. We just need to get out more.

My wife and I are going to see Beat in a couple of weeks. Reviews have been very positive. Steven Wilson's shows are very immersive. Some real cutting-edge light shows both times I saw him in concert. The last somewhat high dollar show we saw was The Police in 2008, I think. I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a show again.

Depeche Mode is the only concert that I ever walked out on. Early in their career I won tickets via a radio call in (was LATE and I was closing the restaurant). Really wanted to see the opening act (which I cannot for the life of me remember who it was). Watched them open, got about 30 min into Depeche Mode and could not take any more of them NOT playing any thing, just putting their memory sticks into their keyboards and prancing around using two fingers to play. Awful.....got up and walked out.
