Easter weekend on Islay
Fingers crossed that the b&b (a farmhouse outside Port Charlotte) hasn't already been booked for Easter weekend and can put me up for three nights. I'm over to the UK for a wedding the following week and plan on making the most of my time there.
Will be time to work in a few distillery tours (heck, there are only seven distilleries!) and some no-doubt expensive trips to the distillery shops. There's even a brewery on the island! Fortunately, there are tours on Fridays and Saturdays and if I have to spent Easter Sunday sipping whisky or ale while pondering the Paps of Jura, I think I'll manage. Then it's off to some serious ale consumption in Manchester and on to more in Plymouth for the wedding, ale and a beautiful country home: http://tinyurl.com/yg5ouo After recovering from the wedding, some touring of Cornwall or Wales (and their pubs).
