Japanese psychedelic music?

No, seriously. A friend of mine got me started with a band called White Heaven, and their album, "Out". Michio Kurihara is a dead ringer for John Cippolina, who played lead for Quicksilver Messenger Service in the 60s. Mostly same personnel in Stars, whose album "Today" sounds like a cross between Quicksilver and Lou Reed.

I've got CD compilations from the Japanese PSF label in the mail. Guys are unreal. I never would have guessed.
