Oysters

Never really given oysters a fair try. I had one or two years ago as a young teen and just didn't care for the texture. Currently, my 20 year old daughter is working at a seafood place while she is going to college and she got hooked on them. She has since pulled me along into trying them. Surprisingly, I rather enjoy them! Not the cost though. Who knew oysters were so damn expensive. Yesterday we were at a mom and pops place in Chinatown in Honolulu and they had a special of Black Bean Oysters. Don't ask the price. I thought what an odd combination black beans and oysters. So weird it has to be good, right. And boy was it it was delicious. Is Black bean osyters a common thing? Any recommendations as to oysters I should try? I did try a fried oyster it was ok but prefer the raw or steamed.
