Torano Tribute....Updated
smokes the Robusto size one the other day, here's my thoughts:
Appearance: very nicely constructed, firm no soft spots with an nice tawny brown color. Clip/Draw: clean(used a SAK) with good full draw, tastes of leather/coffee b4 the light. Light up: Quick, easy and a top off fireball Ash: Solid, drak grey and dropped after about 1". Initial tastes: Again as stated be fore coffee/leather, then the bottem fell out. Mid point to Finish: Blah,Blah,Blah........no tastes,no WOW,nothing. Sorry to say but I prefer the 1916 over this "much hyped" smoke. The tastes left before the Midpoint and nothing appeared after that. Sorry Frankie but I wasn't in awe in this smoke, and the worst part was that I was hoping for it to be a knockout. IMO if given the choice,I'll pass on the Tribute and take the 1916. |
