Who'da thought that my first cigar review would be on a well aged smoke?! A 5 year old Connie #9 to be exact. I've never had one before, so I don't quite know how it would match up to a Young Consuerga, but I will say it was a definate winner. The smoke was pleasantly mild and billowed forth creamy aromatic clouds of smoke that had an almost silky texture to it. The ash heald on till almost half the stick, at which time I dropped it off myself, may have held on longer. The ash itself had a reddish brown color to it, again not sure if this a connie thing or if it was due to the age of cigar. There was absolutely no bite and I could tell that this may very well be my first nubber! Im not too good with flavors, but I would say there were good hints of cocoa and perhaps even vanilla, but definately something sweet. I would think that a cigar so old wouldn't pack much of a punch power wise, but I had a nice spacey buzz when I was done. Whether this can be attributed to the mystique I attached to aged smokes or not is yet to be decided, but thanks to MeCreature (Gifter of Aged Smokes), I'll have plenty of opportunities to find out!

Overall the smoke was pretty dam good, and I think I just may be another Connie Fan, all the same Im wondering, if it takes this long to have em smoke this fine.....is the wait really worth it? Patience is just such a issue for me when it comes to smokes, I may just have to start buy'n smokes already aged from you Guys If this keeps up!! In time I'll see if a younger connie is smokeable without this much age, in the event that it is, I will definately keep a stock on hand in the humi.
