Not long ago, I posted my thoughts on Woodford Reserve after purchasing my first bottle. These were not generally good thoughts - I didn't much care for it. I found it dry, medicinal, and generally unpleasant.
I revisited that bottle a couple days ago, and all I can say is WOW! There must've been something wrong with me when I first tried it - temporary tongue paralysis or something. This whiskey is now utterly wondrous, sweet, smooth, a true delight to all the senses. I want more! Luckily, still have half a bottle...that might last the weekend...
