30 For 30
Anybody watch these? Most of them are quite well-done. Last couple weeks, and they have been replaying them, have been the two dedicated to Lance Armstrong. For those of us who supported him and rooted for him, he sure turned out to be a prize asshole. Well, a typical human being, really, who did wonders for cancer awareness and research, but was a mean, vindictive person in other areas.
He and the Michael Jordan who revealed himself in the Last Dance, showed them to be similar men, hyper-competitive with a drive to win beyond anything many of us can imagine. In that, they are vengeful and never forget even the most meaningless slights, holding life-long grudges. The Last Dance wasn't 30 for 30. Fantastic Lies about the travesty of justice that the media and the Durham, N.C. D.A. tried to make of the Duke Lacrosse scandal was excellent.
