what can you take on an airplane? (cutters i mean)

I've always wondered why they will let you take a disposable but not any refillable's. I mean all disposables are Butane right?

As for my lighter story, I had 2 torches taken from checked luggage. The nice thing about it was that they called me back to the terminal, after I had already went thru the security hassles (shoes off, laptop out, empty pockets, cell phone, etc.) and the nicely told me they were taken, I said well let me have them back and I'll give them to my relatives (who were less than a 5 minute drive away) . . they said no, once they are taken, they are taken . . . . luckily the were cheapies . . I would have probably been arested had they taken a Dupont
