updated itunes to 7.7 and lost my library

I had everything backed up and eventually found the music and had to re-import folders and set up new play lists. But what did I do wrong? It seems like I clicked something that said - "ok and will give you a nice new clean addition of iTunes and get rid of that old one you we're using...

I'm using an HP laptop with... dare I say it.. Vista. Haven't had any problems up till now.

You're using iTunes. It has quirks that come out sometimes. I won't use it but both of my kids do.

I have an iPhone so I use iTunes. Do you use something else to download mp3 files?

Didn't have that problem but I have seen that fix before and it works like a charm.

Rhapsody downloads to any MP3 player, and you can use it from ANY computer. So if you're away from home and want your playlist, just log on with any computer anywhere you're at and you have it. Plus you don't have to pay per song - you pay a monthly (or 4-times yearly for me) fee that's really reasonable. I pay like $32 every 3 months.
