A Beautiful Day and a Beautiful 1998 RyJ Petit Princess
Well out here in Illinois it has been pretty darn cold, but today we enjoyed some sunshine and an excellent temperature of 75 degrees. A beautiful spring day.
Seeing as how it was so beautiful, i decided to take the day off, and enjoy a cigar and some excellent port. When i cracked open my coolerdor, i knew that i wanted a small cigar (i thought i was going to do something productive-so i wanted a short smoke), so i picked up a RyJ petit princess that was gifted to me by one of the most generous BOTL on these boards- ucmba. The pre-light smell was nothing short of amazing, so i couldn't wait to light it up. It normally takes me some time to decide whether or not i like i cigar, but this was an almost instant "wow!" ![]() Now, i am relatively new to habanos, and i have been very happy with almost all that i have tried, but again, this was just an eye opener in terms of taste! The main flavours that i tasted were strong cocoa/coffee. While these were prominent, it was none the less a complex cigar even though it lacks length. It also was the perfect day time cigar because it's only a 35 min or so smoke, and its also pretty mild. Anyway, this was truly a treat. |
