A "Moderated" Pipe Forum

This morning I spoke with a friend, also a veteran pipe smoker, who has participated on several internet pipe forums. He related that on a forum where he frequently contributes, a moderator reads every post and determines whether or not the post will appear on the forum. Today, however, he was very angry. He posted a cautionary comment and the moderator, apparently, felt the comment wasn't worthy of the forum. Just for the sake of my curiosity, do the chaps, here, think the following is inappropriate.

A poster asked what others use to combat pipe breath. Apparently, this fellow's wife was put off by the residual aroma left on his breath after he smoked.

My friend says that he wrote that people should use breath mints, such as Eclipse mints, with extreme caution, because they have a considerable amount of sorbitol, which is the active ingredient in many laxatives. He cited his own experience, where he unknowingly ate nearly half a box, and was ill for hours.

I don't feel that the post was lewd or intended to deceive. It was information that I deem quite valuable. I suggested to my friend that he leave that forum, but he says there's other valuable information and he'll just put up with the indiscrimate censorship.

What do you think?
