Joya de Nicargua Antano Belicoso
Thanks to Mingc (very generous person) I was able to try one of these. What a powder keg. Wrapper was dark, rich, and oily with lt. to med veining. Extra girth x short length was unusual in the hand. Very well constructed. Solid but pre-light draw was easy. Burn was perfect. Produced a solid lt. gray ash that wanted to hang on. The complexity was average and very strong & full bodied. An abundance thick chewy smoke is loaded with peppery spice. The flavors were charred wood, meaty, and a hint of anise. The finish was solid and hinted of chewing tobacco. Don't smoke on an empty stomach. I needed a glass of sugar water and an hours rest afterwards. Recommended but with due caution.

I think I've heard these called Joya de Nicotine, and sounds like it's not an overstatement

I had the lancero (?) and the flavor matched what you said but the nic. kick wasn't really there. Must be less ligero.
Thanks for the review.
