Alas, my favorite Colibri lighter just bit the dust this week. It was a Quatum Firebird Trooper, which lasted me nearly 3 years of daily abuse. Not bad for a $30 lighter, and it really did go through the war with me, I will miss it.
It actually still lights, but for some reason it doesn't shut-off anymore. The valve must be jammed or something, so the fuel leaks out slowly until it runs out. And, unfortunately it doesn't appear that Colibri makes them anymore. The Trooper was a unique design because it's shaped more like a pipe cigar, and it doesn't burn you hand. It also had a good size tank, a built-in cigar cutter, a lock on the ignitor, and a cover over the nozzle. Darn, now I have to find another lighter.
