So far, I really like the Mono. It depends on how you primarily listen.

If you're using headphones, like I do a lot, the mono just presents a better soundstage, IMO. The early Beatles were mixed in mono as the primary format, to start with. Using headphones, it sounds much much better. Whereas stereo through headphones....it's just not as enjoyable to me.

Now if your listening preferences are a full system (not headphones), maybe stereo would be your preference. Though for me, even not using headphones, I think the mono has a fuller, warmer sound.
