If a piece is going to ooze, the sap usually comes out when the wood gets warm. Or, sometimes you get a piece that will ooze no matter what. You can try wiping it with denatured alcohol and then sand it. It may do it again. Unless it's getting on cigars, it's not really a terrible thing. Makes the smell kinda strong. If you can, replacing it is probably best.
