My experience with ziplock bags have been less than satisfactory for the salt test. It registers three or four percent low compared to my preferred container......a glass jar with a rubber seal. I had one laying around that I believe I got from the Container Store years ago. Anyway the jar has a glass top and a rubber seal that is ratcheted down with thick metal wires. So, before you send that hygrometer back, try the jar.....it's a tight seal and you gotta know humidity ain't gonna be leaking through glass.
