Soccer, with or without fans, is boring to me. To each their own.
I think some sports are affected more by an absence of fans. College basketball comes to mind. I would think it would just be weird to see them playing in an empty arena.

I get that. I was never a soccer fan until my son started playing it. Same for my nephew who is starting lacrosse. Phil's son playing Olympic handball opened my eyes to that sport.
I have a particular bias against basketball. It was always assumed that because I was tall that I'd be good at. Didn't matter that I couldn't dribble and chew bubble gum at the same time. Didn't help that a coach called travelling at a level that would have NCAA fans shitting nails. I cannot remember the last time I saw travelling called. I f**king hate f**cking basketball

I actually saw travelling called in SU's last basketball game - before COVID-19 put an end to the season. It was called against the other team. Rare. But it happened.

Three years ago #3 Kansas beat K-State in Lawrence when Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk made a game winning layup after clearly taking 4, and possibly 5 steps. No call.
