What about a converted freezer?

Hi everyone,

I know that people are using wine coolers as humidors for the temperature control, and i have an old freezer that I would like to use as a humidor becuase down here in Brisbane Australia, summer temperatures regularly don't drop below 25 C for about 3 months.

I have built an external electronic thermostat that switches the mains power off and on to the depending on the temp of the thermometer connected. HERE IT IS

Just a question as to if there is going to be any problems with this as a humidor? I suppose on the event that the thermostat fails, my cigars will be insulated from the ouside temps and not get that hot, and if it fails in the opposite direction, all that will happen is that those pesky bugs won't hatch?

Thanks for listening
